We are partnering with a renowned defense client based in Guildford, known for their innovative solutions and cutting-edge technology in the defense sector. As they continue to expand their capabilities, they are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lead Electronics Engineer to join their Wireless Product Division. This is a pivotal role in shaping the future of wireless technology within the defense industry.
As the Lead Electronics Engineer, you will play a crucial role in leading the design, development, and implementation of advanced wireless products. You will be responsible for overseeing a team of talented engineers, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, robust, and reliable electronic solutions that meet the stringent requirements of our defense clients.
Key Responsibilities:
* Leadership & Management: Lead and mentor a team of electronics engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
* Design & Development: Oversee the design and development of electronic systems for wireless products, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client specifications.
* Project Management: Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery within budget and scope.
* Technical Expertise: Provide expert guidance on complex technical issues, troubleshooting, and problem-solving.
* Quality Assurance: Implement rigorous testing and validation processes to ensure the reliability and performance of electronic systems.
* Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of design processes, project plans, and technical specifications.
* Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, product managers, and external stakeholders, to achieve project objectives.
* Innovation: Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation and continuous improvement in wireless product development.
Requirements:
* Citizenship: Must be a British citizen eligible for Security Clearance (SC Clearable).
* Experience: A minimum of 8 years of experience in electronics engineering, with a focus on wireless communication systems.
* Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
* Technical Skills: Proficiency in circuit design, RF design, signal processing, and embedded systems.
* Leadership: Proven track record of leading engineering teams and managing complex projects.
* Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to tackle challenging technical issues.
* Communication: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Desirable:
* Experience in the defense industry or working on defense-related projects.
* Knowledge of industry standards and regulatory requirements for defense electronics.
* Familiarity with modern tools and software used in electronic design and simulation.
