* Receiving, sorting, cleaning and decontaminating soiled reusable instruments, equipment and materials following manufacturer’s instructions.
* Manually recording items/materials received in department logs.
* Loading, operating, and emptying cleaning and decontamination equipment such as automatic washers, endoscope preprocessors, cart washer and pasteurizers
* Inspecting, preparing and sterilizing surgical instruments and other materials.
* Assembling trays and packets of instruments, medical supplies for surgical procedures according to standardized content lists and manufacturers guidelines.
* Loading and operating sterilizers, programming settings and monitors temperature and other critical readings during run cycle.
* Other duties as assigned.
To qualify, you must have:
* Certification of Sterile/Central Processing
* A high school degree or GED equivalent is required
* Minimum of 1 years’ experience within Sterile Processing is strongly preferred.
* A strong knowledge of instrumentation and power surgical instruments
* Strong customer service and communication skills to develop working relationships with staff
* Strong problem solving skills
* The ability to work independently and as a team player
* Flexibility and the willingness to change assignments due to department needs
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $38.00/hr.
