New Forest Care is a bespoke residential, education, and therapeutic childcare provider dedicated to offering unconditional care to the most vulnerable children and young people. Our approach is flexible and adaptable, built upon working effectively in partnership with local authorities, parents, and carers. We act as steadfast advocates for our children, ensuring their safety and well-being remain at the very core of all our decision-making. Our specialist residential care, Activity Residential Care (ARC), provides short-term placements (up to 90 days). Our children are often facing placement breakdowns or beginning to show complex behaviours that make long-term placements difficult. The ARC project, established in 2015, currently operates two registered homes, each supporting up to five children. We pride ourselves on our core company values: putting children first, fairness, dignity, excellence, teamwork, and sustainability. Crucially, our adult team is at the centre of our thinking; providing comprehensive training, support, and progression is essential to ensure we continue to grow and develop as an organisation. The Role: Registered Manager (Activity Residential Care - ARC) The successful candidate will manage one of our specialist ARC homes. The Activity Residential Care (ARC) project, founded in 2015, offers short-term, intensive placements for children who have experienced trauma, abuse, or multiple placement breakdowns. These experiences can make it challenging for them to build trusting relationships with adults, which has often led to further placement instability and an increased risk of Child Sexual Exploitation (CSE), criminal exploitation, and high-risk behaviours. Our unique approach uses outdoor adventure, physical activity, and therapeutic connection to rebuild trust, resilience, and self-worth in these young people. Management Structure & Support As the Registered Manager, your leadership team will consist of an experienced Deputy Manager, Senior Team Leader, and three Team Leaders. The home benefits from dedicated support, including an Activity Co-ordinator and access to New Forest Care’s Therapy Team, Registered Mental Health Nurse, Safeguarding Lead, and People Team (HR). The role also comes with an extensive budget for home development, staff training, and child activities. You will be supported by a highly experienced Responsible Individual who has been integral to the ARC project since its inception in 2015. Key Responsibilities of the Registered Manager The Registered Manager will be responsible for: Day-to-day management of the home, ensuring the highest standards of care and compliance. Strategic development of the home and contributing to the wider ARC project's growth. Leadership and support for the staff team, driving continuous improvement in standards and practice. Crucial decision-making regarding the welfare of the children and the support provided by the staff.
