About the role: Oversee and conduct production and warehousing activities within the respective shift. Your responsibility: Contribute to the delivery of EBITDA targets, cashflow and budgets. Lead Quality & Compliance matters on site ensuring review, implementation & adherence to management systems to ensure conformance to ISO, BRC, environmental standards. Have responsibility for Health & Safety across the site, including employees and visitors, and implementation of controls and procedures to ensure a safe & healthy working environment. Initiate and monitor corrective/preventative actions to ensure Quality/Compliance systems are effective through liaison with customers, suppliers, hauliers, etc. Implement a program of Internal Quality audits across all aspects of the depot. Lead Monthly Safety/Compliance meetings and implement any improvements/ amendments required as a result. Define and drive operational & quality/ improvement plans Organise, lead and control a team of operational staff covering warehousing and logistics. Liaise & advise internal customers & suppliers on operational issues, e.g. tank inspections, customer installations, technical advice, logistics and Health & Safety. Conduct operational warehousing and production (bulk (un-)loading, filling, mixing and blending) activities within the respective shifts. Ensure adherence to safety and quality guidelines during the respective shifts. Execute selected administrative activities related to the shift work. Lead small team of operators in warehousing and production. Additional skills and attributes required are: Extensive experience in a mangement focused environment, preferably food or Pharmaceutical (sector not absolutely definitive) Experience/exposure in a hand-on operations role, managing staff.
