We have an exciting opportunity for a Retail Marketing Manager to join the team at Vertu. We are offering a basic salary of £36,000, plus a company car and excellent company benefits. This role offers flexible location working, with travel to Head Office in Gateshead and dealerships as required.

Reporting into the Head of Retail Marketing, you will play a crucial role in building awareness of the Vertu brand and our dealership network, driving footfall into our sites and traffic to our website. You'll have the opportunity to work across the full marketing mix, from initial brief to final delivery.

This role is ideal for someone who is commercially minded, confident in stakeholder management, highly organised, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. Key Purpose

Plan and deliver all New, Commercial, Used and Motability campaigns by franchise
Ensure smooth end‑to‑end delivery of campaigns through excellent project management
Build strong working relationships with manufacturer partners, identifying opportunities for process improvement and increased collaboration
Closely manage monthly and annual budgets, ensuring performance aligns to growth targets
Ensure all activity aligns with FCA regulations and manufacturer brand guidelines
Play a central role in building brand awareness, supporting the Vertu Motors growth strategy

Main Responsibilities

Develop a deep understanding of the market landscape, including competitors, customer behaviour and emerging trends, using this insight to elevate marketing performance
Partner with the in‑house Advertising team to develop clear, compelling marketing plans aligned to national campaigns and franchise strategy
Take full accountability for franchise budgets, delivering regular performance commentary and cost‑efficient planning recommendations
Lead dealership retention events, coordinating logistics, asset creation, engagement plans and rollout across all sites
Analyse enquiry, sales and conversion data to drive targeted marketing actions
Work with dealerships and the Marketing Partnerships team to maximise local sponsorships, product placement opportunities and county show activations
Ensure all franchise web content is accurate, engaging and up-to-date — including new model launches and offer updates
Coordinate offer generation and brief Studio and Media Agency partners to produce high‑quality creative and effective regional media assets
Represent the franchise or division in key forums including Divisional Operations Meetings, dealership reviews, manufacturer conferences and wider strategic conversations
Support the wider Marketing team across local partnerships, outdoor events and retail initiatives

Essential Criteria

Degree preferred but not essential
Full UK Driver's Licence
Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
Ability to use data and marketing cohesively to inform decisions
Understanding of Google Analytics
Willingness to travel to Gateshead and dealerships when required
Flexible on location — candidates from any region are welcome to apply

Desirable Criteria

Experience using project management tools (e.g., Asana)
Automotive marketing experience
CIM qualification
