Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Construction Planner to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and updating construction schedules to ensure projects are completed on time and within scope. This role requires strong project management skills, proficiency in industry-standard software, and the ability to coordinate effectively with various stakeholders. The Construction Planner will play a vital part in the successful delivery of our construction projects, ensuring all activities are meticulously planned and executed.
Responsibilities
* Utilise Civil 3D to assist in planning site layouts and infrastructure designs.
* Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to gather input and update schedules accordingly.
* Monitor project progress and adjust schedules proactively to address delays or changes in scope.
* Ensure effective time management across all phases of construction planning, prioritising tasks to meet deadlines.
* Maintain detailed documentation of project timelines, resource allocations, and critical path analyses.
* Identify potential scheduling conflicts or risks early and implement mitigation strategies.
* Communicate schedule updates clearly to all relevant stakeholders through reports and meetings.
* Construction build knowledge and experience.
* Ability to read construction drawings.
* Demonstratable understanding of sequence and logic.
* Microsoft 365 (Good understanding of Excel- formulas, graphs).
* Asta Power Project or similar.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in construction planning or project scheduling within the civil engineering or construction industry.
* Strong organisational skills with excellent time management abilities.
* Ability to interpret technical drawings and site plans effectively.
* Exceptional communication skills, capable of liaising with multidisciplinary teams.
