Senior Procurement Consultant

* Location: Warrington (Hybrid working: home, office, client sites)
* Permanent, full-time with flexible hours
About this opportunity
Gleeds is a leading global property and construction consultancy, established in 1885. We are committed to sustainability and have a strong presence in the energy sector, managing projects in Solar, Hydrogen, Nuclear, Renewables, and Defence. We seek a highly motivated Procurement Consultant to join our Warrington team, with flexibility for different experience levels, from intermediate to senior, to lead projects independently and grow professionally.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Delivering quality procurement services meeting stakeholder requirements
* Defining and implementing strategic procurement approaches
* Creating procurement documentation and managing end-to-end processes
* Securing stakeholder buy-in and ensuring operational implementation of strategies
* Gaining governance approval for procurement deliverables
* Producing key procurement documents such as OJEU notices, plans, questionnaires, and tenders
* Leading procurement evaluations and ensuring compliance with EU and UK legislation
* Providing procurement reporting and managing stakeholder relationships
* Representing clients and engaging with stakeholders and suppliers at all levels
About You
Ideal candidates will have:
* Experience in strategic procurement environments
* Knowledge of standard contract forms, including NEC, and Public Contracts Regulations 2015
* Ability to develop procurement strategies within projects
* Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
* Understanding of commercial principles and techniques
* Relevant industry experience
* Professional qualifications such as RICS or CIPS are desirable; support for progressing towards these qualifications is available
