EPA is a design focused architectural studio with a growing portfolio of contemporary private residential projects across the South East. We are seeking an experienced and passionate Architect or Architectural Designer to join our team.
This is a role for a driven individual with a minimum of 5 years’ current experience in the private residential sector, capable of leading high-quality domestic projects from concept through to completion. You’ll be managing direct client relationships, coordinating teams, and delivering thoughtful, well-detailed architecture to an exceptional standard.
Key Responsibilities
•Full project delivery: from briefing, concept, planning, and technical design through to contract administration and site completion.
•Client liaison, team coordination, and day-to-day project management.
•Overseeing and mentoring junior staff and assistants.
•Preparation of clear, concise planning submissions and technical packages.
•Ensuring quality and consistency across drawing sets and construction detailing.
Essential Skills & Experience
•Part III qualified with at least 5 years’ relevant UK-based experience.
•Strong design sensibility and attention to detail, particularly in construction and materials.
•Solid understanding of UK planning policy and procedures; able to manage applications independently.
•Confident in administering contracts and site processes.
•Experienced in private client work and budget management.
•Excellent communication & coordination with planners, consultants, and contractors.
•Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Suite (Photoshop/Procreate), and MS Office.
Desirable (but not essential)
•Experience on developer-led residential schemes.
•Exposure to heritage buildings or listed property work.
