What being a Deputy Forest School Leader involves As a Deputy Forest School Leader, you will work alongside the Forest School Leader to lead and inspire your team while delivering exceptional care and education. Key responsibilities include: Lead sessions when required, ensuring a safe, inclusive, and stimulating outdoor environment. Encourage children to explore and develop practical life skills through activities such as tool use, den building, and fire cooking. Maintaining a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment that meets each child’s needs. Observe, assess, and support children’s learning and development, contributing to records and planning. Care for and maintain Forest School equipment and outdoor learning areas. Work collaboratively with the wider nursery team to embed outdoor learning across the setting. Ready to make a difference?
