Overview
Morson Talent are currently recruiting for a Project Engineer to work on the behalf of one of our prestigious clients based in Motherwell. This is a contract role for 6 months, with possibility of extension of up to 23 months.
Responsibilities
* Working to recognised industry standards to produce innovative, high quality software products for UK's leading defence developments
* Working within a multi-disciplined team, utilising a variety of tools and programming languages, engaging in all aspects of the software development cycle
* Taking responsibility for your own and others work as well as providing technical assistance to support the development of junior members of the team
* Leading during assurance and review activities ensuring that all required configuration, release and documentation activities have been produced in accordance with the relevant standards
* Translate requirements into software designs, implement and test solutions, and manage integration, configuration, release, and deployment of the product
Experience / Qualifications
* Background in Instrumentation and Control Engineering, or related subject
* Experience with or knowledge of traditional PLC programming
* Experience or knowledge in SCADA systems
* Experience or knowledge of Distributed Control Systems (DCS)
Working Hours & Duration
* Working Hours: 7.5 hours per day, 37.5 hours per week
* Duration: 6 months but likely to be extended up to 23 months with the needs of the business
Working Pattern
* First 3 months - fully onsite
* After 3 months - 1 week onsite, 3 weeks WFH (subject to change as required by business)
