Autism Support Assistant - Secondary School Location: Wellingborough, Northamptonshire Contract Type: Full-Time, Long-Term Start Date: ASAP Salary: £90-£110 per day (depending on experience) Tradewind Recruitment are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive secondary school in the Wellingborough area. This rewarding role involves working closely with students with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), providing tailored support to help them achieve both academically and personally. The Role: Provide one-to-one and small-group support for students with Autism Work collaboratively with teaching staff and the SEN department to implement individual support strategies Help create a calm, structured, and supportive learning environment Encourage students to develop confidence, independence, and social skills Adapt learning materials and approaches to meet individual needs Support classroom activities and contribute to the wider school community The Ideal Candidate Will Have: Experience supporting young people with Autism or additional learning needs A patient, empathetic, and nurturing approach Strong communication and teamwork skills The ability to remain calm under pressure and use initiative A genuine passion for helping students reach their full potential Why Work with Tradewind Recruitment?
