Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Practice Nurse to join our friendly practice nursing team, who will be committed to supporting the whole practice team effort. This role primarily involves providing child immunisations, smears, travel vaccines, injectable medications, and some phlebotomy. Chronic disease management reviews of diabetes, asthma, and COPD will be advantageous. We are looking for a colleague who is motivated, a good communicator and listener, and always willing to understand the needs of patients.
In addition, we are looking for a colleague who will commit to ongoing professional development and has high levels of integrity and loyalty.

About Us
Blackford House is a training practice with 8,000 patients, situated on the outskirts of Bury, two minutes from the M66. We have three General Practitioner Partners and one Practice Manager Partner, as well as a nursing team and admin team.

* Identifying, managing, and supporting patients at risk of developing long-term conditions
* Cervical cytology
* Child immunisations

* Maintain accurate clinical records
* Develop, implement, and embed health promotion and well-being programmes
* Support the team in dealing with clinical emergencies
* Manage Emergency Drug Kit
* Monitor and ensure the safe storage, rotation, and disposal of medicines
Person Specification
Qualifications
* Registered Nurse
* Evidence of immunisation training and assessment of competence in the last 2 years
* Cytology training
