We are seeking an experienced and strategic Project Commercial Lead to lead and oversee the commercial function of a high-value project exceeding £300ranging from £100 to £200 million within our commercial office / mixed use data centre MEP sector in Slough.
As a key member of a Project Leadership Team, you will be responsible for leading preconstruction commercial strategy and governance, managing project finances, contractual obligations and commercial performance, ensuring alignment with internal policies and customer/stakeholder expectations.
What you'll do:
1. Involvement in PQQs and bid strategies.
2. The Commercial Lead in Skanska's tendering governance plays a crucial role in the ORA (Operational Risk Assessment) processes by providing a comprehensive service to address contractual and commercial issues of the project.
3. Specifically, in relation to the ORA which is an essential part of the Skanska Tender Approval Procedure (STAP), the Commercial Lead contributes to identifying and managing risks and opportunities in construction projects.
4. Risk identification, mitigation planning, and acceptance criteria.
What you'll bring to the role:
5. Experience working on large projects £100m+ as the Commercial Lead or similar leadership position.
6. Experience in JCT / NEC / FIDIC forms of contract or equivalent.
7. Detailed working knowledge of contract/commercial law
8. Ability to manage multiple stakeholders.
9. Significant customer facing experience
10. Experience of large and complex claims
11. MRICS qualified highly desirable/degree educated in a relevant subject.
