Job Title: Service Manager

Full time, 35 hours per week.

We are seeking a Service Manager with a strong understanding of safeguarding requirements, excellent leadership skills, and proven experience in managing care services.

Role Overview

As a Service Manager, you will lead and supervise a dedicated staff team, ensuring the service operates efficiently, complies with health and safety standards, and meets statutory requirements. You will be responsible for recruitment, staff development, and maintaining registration for the service.

This role offers an exciting opportunity for professional growth within the Leonard Cheshire management team, contributing positively to the lives of people with disabilities.


Key Responsibilities

* Provide leadership and management for the service team.
* Ensure high-quality care and compliance with health and safety regulations.
* Manage budgets and financial operations.
* Handle recruitment, training, and performance management of staff.
* Maintain service registration and meet care standards.


Candidate Requirements

* A recognised nursing or social care qualification and registration, as appropriate.
* Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care, or equivalent.
* Experience managing care teams or in a supervisory/managerial role within care settings.
* Strong communication and customer service skills.
* Understanding of financial management and budgeting.
* Experience with diverse departments such as therapies, transport, catering, administration, and maintenance is advantageous.
