Leisure Solutions are assisting a much-loved family attraction and one of the UK’s largest specialist parks. Following considerable investment into their play and catering offering, we’re now supporting the search for a Catering Team Leader to work within the designated play park area. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead both operational delivery and guest experience in one of the park’s most popular areas.
Reporting to the Commercial & Operations Manager, you'll be responsible for leading a team across the Play Barn and catering outlets, ensuring smooth daily operations, high-quality service, and a fun, welcoming environment for families and children. This is a hands‑on role for someone with great energy, leadership skills, and a passion for customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the day-to-day operations across the Play Barn and multiple food & beverage outlets
* Inspire, train and manage a team, including Assistant Team Leaders and Guest Services staff
* Drive commercial performance through effective cost control, menu development and stock management
* Ensure food safety, health & safety and compliance standards are met at all times
* Coordinate visitor flow, party bookings and peak-day operations in the Play Barn
* Use customer feedback and data to continuously enhance the experience and offer
* Collaborate on seasonal events and ensure every visitor interaction is memorable
Required Experience and Skills
* Proven experience in catering, hospitality or visitor attraction leadership
* Food Safety Level 3 and ideally First Aid at Work (or willing to obtain)
* A hands‑on leader with strong people management and planning skills
* Excellent communicator with the confidence to engage with guests, team members and stakeholders
* Calm under pressure, solution‑focused and proactive
* Genuinely passionate about great food, safe play and delivering brilliant guest experiences
* Positive, playful and professional approach to work
* A DBS certificate or willingness to have a DBS check undertaken
