Tyneside and Northumberland Mind are looking to recruit an effective, highly motivated, and confident Wellbeing Coach to join their highly skilled team. The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic team working within our Wellbeing team covering our area of benefit.
Building on our established services the Wellbeing Coach will work with local people and communities, providing emotional and practical wellbeing support, working alongside our other Wellbeing staff and an integral part of our service. The role asked for lived experience of community wellbeing delivery and a willingness to work alongside other providers and services to build a strong network.
Working with local authorities commissioning groups and supporting services, this role integrates our services into the community and looks for additional opportunities where we are able to extend our services.
This role will facilitate wellbeing groups, support wellbeing events and support the organisation in planning and executing the wellbeing strategy.

Hours:22.5 hours per week.
Based at:Tyneside and Northumberland
Contract length:Permanent.
Salary:£13.06 per hour
Key Responsibilities
· Lead on the delivery of Wellbeing groups with a focus on supporting improvements to individuals’ mental health and wellbeing, with the support of a volunteer.
· Plan Wellbeing sessions in advance creating resources to be shared with colleagues and clients
· Support the marketing and fundraising of Wellbeing groups
· Support the Wellbeing Manager in networking and attending events
· Support mobilisation of new projects
· Regularly collect client feedback and tailor sessions to themes requested by clients.
· Manage the client referral procedure to ensure client referrals and assessments are actioned in a timely manner.
· Manage the introduction of new clients, ensuring a smooth and supportive transition into the group to enable people to become an active group member.
· Effective management of group dynamics to ensure a positive and welcoming environment that supports equality & diversity.
· Identify, assess and manage risk in line with our values, policies & procedures to ensure a safe environment for staff and clients.
· Ensure completion of client records, notes and systems in a precise and timely manner whilst adhering to confidentiality and data protection guidelines.
· Ensure Safeguarding policies and procedures are followed within groups and report all incidents in a timely manner.
· Support the completion of statistics, reports and evaluation data in a precise and timely manner to enable accurate reporting to funders.
· Complete a group review on a quarterly basis to evaluate service delivery and outcomes inline with organisation and client goals.
· Review clients progress to identify and challenge any barriers to their recovery and enable people to move forward.
· Support the process of funding applications for the Wellbeing services
· Signpost clients to services that may further support and develop their recovery.
· Support colleagues and provide cover for groups where required.
· Attend monthly supervision and team meetings. Respond to and implement agreed objectives.
Expectations
· Ensure that all responsibilities and activities discharged within this post are consistent with the terms and spirit of Tyneside and Northumberland Mind’s policies.
· The nature of the post will require flexibility in terms of ways of working to deliver on objectives.
· The post holder is expected to travel to meetings throughout the area of benefit
· Complete an induction including mandatory training modules
· Attend and complete training as agreed with the Wellbeing Manager.
· The post holder/s may be required to undertake other activities as deemed appropriate by their Line Manager
Qualifications
Mandatory
· Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service)
· At least 1 years’ experience of working in mental health or similar with clients who have a number of complex needs
· The ability to build accessible, strong relationships with clients; to work with them in a reassuring, supportive, manner which leads to an empowering partnership
· Ability to work with clients to enable them to have control of their own lives and become more independent and resourceful
· An awareness of the power imbalance of working with our vulnerable client group and ability to diminish that whilst maintaining a client led, person centred, boundaried relationship
· An understanding of the impact of domestic violence and challenging family situations on mental health
· Experience of facilitating both group and one to one support and ability to work in challenging situations
· Experience of building strong partnerships with other agencies
· Knowledge and experience of statutory safeguarding processes
· Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people
· Ability to work within a team as well as independently and can use own initiative
· Experience of using outcome measurement tools to track clients’ progress
· Experience of writing or contributing to update reports for funders and/or commissioners
· Adept at using Microsoft Office and other software packages
· An understanding of and commitment to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion and to Tyneside and Northumberland Mind’s values
· Must be able to travel dependant to the needs of the business
