Role Overview:
As a Models Artist working within the Art Department, you will collaborate with a passionate team of artists to develop the next generation of AAA games at TT.
Within the LEGO Models Team, you will work alongside LEGO Designers and Models Artists, focusing on creating high-quality LEGO assets, from simple items to complex models like vehicles and environment art.
You should have a creative mindset with a strong focus on visual quality, working directly on publishable materials.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Creation and in-game setup of LEGO models using PBR workflow.
2. Setup/Rigging of LEGO models and vehicles to fit game engine requirements.
3. Design and creation of decals/printed elements.
4. Setup of high-detail models and vehicles for cut-scenes.
5. Optimize models and vehicles for multiple platforms.
6. Maintain and update the TT LEGO Brick Libraries.
7. Create approval materials for submission to The LEGO Group and stakeholders.
8. Participate in industry-related training to stay current with new technologies.
9. Assist with tools training as directed by Lead LEGO Model Artist.
Qualifications & Experience:
1. Demonstrable portfolio
2. Good communication and organizational skills
3. Proficiency in Maya & Photoshop and/or Illustrator
4. Flexible and adaptable approach
5. Ability to meet deadlines with quality work
Bonus Points:
1. Knowledge of LEGO themes, elements, connections, and building techniques
2. Experience with game engines such as Unreal or Unity
Additional Information:
This role is a hybrid work position, combining remote and in-office work, subject to company policy and agreement with your Line Manager. WBD reserves the right to modify this arrangement as needed.
