This role is best suited for individuals who can:
* Work with pupils on a one-to-one basis or in small groups
* Support the teacher in delivering informative and engaging lessons
* Support students with challenging behaviour
* Prepare for lessons (e.g. preparing resources, putting out equipment)
* Support with some of the pupils' additional care needs (e.g. feeding, toileting)
* Support the children in completing day-to-day tasks around the classroom and with their learning
* Ensure that pupils are safeguarded and supported
To be considered for this role, you must have the following:
* Eligibility to work in UK
* Enhanced child DBS on the update service or willingness to get one
* Experience working with children or young people with additional care needs
* 2 recent professional references
* Experience with challenging behaviours
* A calm & caring personality
* A strong and resilient personality and be committed to pupils' development
* Reading, writing, numeracy and communication skills
