As a Manufacturing Engineer / Technician you’ll work across manufacturing lines and quality improvement while collaborating with suppliers, customers, and internal production teams to keep manufacturing projects on track and compliant with industry standards. This position offers real variety — from investigating production issues and supporting audits, to contributing to new product introduction and customer validation. Depending on your skills and level of experience, the role can be shaped at either Technician or Engineer level. What you’ll do in this Manufacturing Engineering role As part of the Manufacturing Engineering team, you’ll be responsible for: Completing product inspections and build validations, including documentation writing. Investigating quality and production issues, identifying trends, and recommending corrective actions. Supporting ISO 9001 and AS9100 audits, ensuring compliance and highlighting areas for improvement. Liaising with suppliers and customers to resolve quality concerns and verify corrective actions. Assisting with new product introductions, engineering changes, and risk analyses ( DFMEA, PFMEA). Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across production processes. What you’ll bring to this role You’ll have a strong technical mindset, good attention to detail, and the confidence to work with both internal teams and external partners. We’re looking for A qualification in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field (BTEC, HNC, or higher) OR relevant hands-on experience. Some practical experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation. Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools. Organised, reliable, and able to juggle multiple tasks. Desirable extras include: Knowledge of ISO 9001, AS9100 Exposure to CAD software, ERP/MRP systems, or metrology tools. Familiarity with root cause analysis tools (8D, 5 Whys, Ishikawa) and APQP processes.
