As a member of the team, we are looking for an exceptional candidate who shares these values. We are looking for an Assistant Front Office Manager to join our Reception team at the Old Bank Hotel. The ideal candidate will: Have a passion for hospitality, high-level attention to detail and a positive can-do attitude with a keen willingness to learn. Be able to lead, inspire and motivate people. Be excellent at interpersonal communication, coaching and teamwork. Have high-level written English and strong IT literacy. Have strong organisational skills. Have previous managerial experience within a luxury hotel. Assistant Front Office Manager responsibilities: To represent and maintain the hotel’s high standards of personal presentation and behaviour, overseeing the procedures of the reception department, whilst on duty as a working member of the team. To inspire a positive attitude to teamwork, contributing to the smooth running of reception and encouraging productive interaction with all other departments. To liaise with the Front Office Manager & Head Housekeeper, ensuring the flow of communication necessary for the hotel’s efficient operation, at five-star standards. To maintain the image and culture of the team, developing the skills of reception staff, in conjunction with the Front Office Manager. To maximise the hotel’s occupancy through efficient handling of enquiries, together with good teamwork and communication. To practise effective rate management through familiarisation with the hotel’s business trends, relevant to seasonal and local market forces. To support the Front Office Manager in maintaining and updating Reception procedures; ensuring daily checklists are completed, for training and procedural purposes. We offer a sensible shift pattern, across a 40-hour working week (Monday to Sunday rota with two days off) with an OTE up to £33,000.00 per annum, including non-contractual service charge (tronc). Part-time hours may also be considered.
