Location: This role is based in Network Rail Occupational Health Centre, Railway yard, Kingsland Road, Bristol. This role is a full-time opportunity, and you will be required to be on-site 5 days a week. Band & Salary: Band 6 (£27,820 - £30,940) Brief Description Join our Occupational Health team as a Medical Co-ordinator, helping to keep our clinic running smoothly and supporting colleagues who visit for health assessments. This is a hands-on, people-focused role in a fast-paced environment with a high volume of calls and plenty of variety. About The Role (External) About the team We’ve launched a new in-house service across 22 centres nationwide, and we’re building a service that truly supports the health, safety and wellbeing of our 46,000 colleagues. As a Medical Co-ordinator, you’ll be the first point of contact for colleagues arriving at the clinic. You’ll manage a busy diary, handle a large number of calls and emails, and help keep the centre running smoothly each day. You’ll be part of a network of 22 Medical Co-ordinators across the country, supported by a wider team and contractors. This role is fully on-site, because of the face-to-face nature of the work, we’re not able to offer flexible or hybrid working. What does the average day look like? Your day will be varied, busy and very people focused. You’ll be: Handling a high volume of phone calls and emails and dealing with multiple queries at once Booking and managing appointments for clinical colleagues Welcoming colleagues to the clinic and supporting them with paperwork Keeping the clinic stocked, organised and ready for appointments Acting as a chaperone when needed Updating and maintaining records, scanning documents and tracking medical evidence requests Helping with occasional difficult or frustrated visitors, using empathy and good conflict-resolution skills Working with the lead Medical Co-ordinator and wider OH team to keep everything running smoothly If you enjoy structure, helping people and keeping things moving in a fast-paced environment, this role offers plenty of variety and impact. Who are we looking for? We’re looking for someone who is friendly, organised and confident managing multiple tasks at once. You’ll enjoy working with people, staying calm under pressure and solving problems as they arise. A background in customer service, call handling, diary management or admin support will really help you in this role.
