Job Overview

Grade and Salary: Grade 2: £11,013 - £11,546 per annum (£24,404 - £25,584 FTE)

Working pattern: 19.5 hours per week, 39 weeks per year (term time plus INSET days) Monday to Thursday 1pm - 5pm, Friday 1pm – 4.30pm.

Contract term: Fixed term for one year

The School

Ashfield School is renowned for high standards of teaching, behaviour and academic achievement. One of the largest schools in England (2700 on role), staff work together each day to support, inspire and challenge students to give of their best in our safe, happy and ambitious working environment.

Ashfield School is a great place to work and as part of the DFE school re-building project will move into brand new buildings over the next few years. We are located close to the A38 and M1 and there is a large free staff car park. Facilities across the large school site are excellent with numerous social and workspaces, staff specific catering and sporting facilities all available.

The Role

We are looking to appoint a Part Time Receptionist to join our friendly administration team. This role provides front line customer service to all of our visitors, staff and students.

The role will be working afternoons only. The working hours are Monday to Thursday 1pm to 5pm and Friday 1pm to 4.30pm

The Person

The successful candidate will have experience of working in a busy office environment, using Microsoft Office programmes such as Word and Excel. Experience of working in a school and using school information systems such as SIMS would be advantageous. This post holder will need to be able to prioritise their own workload, be able to show initiative as well as working as part of a team and demonstrate excellent communication skills.
