This role provides strategic and operational leadership across engineering and machine development, overseeing the conception, development, and deployment of advanced manufacturing technologies and equipment. Job Description
* Lead and develop a global engineering and machine development function, ensuring strong technical capability, clear prioritisation, and disciplined execution
* Partner closely with senior stakeholders across technology, manufacturing, and operations to align engineering strategy with long‑term business objectives
* Drive the evolution and optimisation of manufacturing platforms to support new technical, formulation, and performance requirements
* Establish and manage external partnerships with equipment manufacturers and technology providers, including technical assessment and capability validation
* Oversee the design, development, and scale‑up of new equipment concepts from pilot through industrial deployment
* Define engineering standards, technical frameworks, and specifications to support scalable, robust manufacturing solutions
* Manage end‑to‑end execution of major engineering initiatives from concept through installation, qualification, and operational handover
* Ensure effective transition of engineering solutions into routine manufacturing or commercial operations
* Maintain rigorous compliance with internal governance, regulatory, quality, and safety requirements
The Successful Applicant
* Degree in Engineering, Machinery, or a related technical discipline; postgraduate qualification preferred
* Extensive experience within regulated, high‑precision, technology‑driven manufacturing environments
* Proven senior leadership experience in engineering, industrialisation, or manufacturing technology
* Strong track record of leading complex engineering organisations and programmes in dynamic or ambiguous contexts
* Deep understanding of manufacturing technologies, equipment development, and industrialisation lifecycles
* Demonstrated success in scale‑up, technology transfer, and operationalisation
* Commercially astute, with the ability to balance technical, operational, and strategic priorities
* Strong stakeholder engagement, decision‑making, and influence skills in cross‑functional, global environments
