The Role
Job Overview: The Fast models DevOps & QA team are looking for a passionate, hands-onDevOps engineer to help support the delivery of software releases, and drive improvements to our technology stack and developer tooling. You will play a critical role in defining and implementing solutions that will make a real difference to the Fast Models developer teams, and your work will help our customers to design their next-generation processors.
Responsibilities:
Your day-to-day work will vary, but might include: working with developer teams to triage and resolve build issues;helping plan a migration to a new tool or service; collaborating with multiple teams and stakeholders to co-ordinate release activities; analysing test data to support quality improvements.
Required Skills and Experience:
1. Experience of agile and DevOps methodologies
2. Good understanding of software engineering and the SDLC
3. Experience working with Cloud, CI,testing and version control
4. Familiarity with Linux administration environments through scripting and command-line
5. Goodscripting knowledge, for example Python, Bash
Nice to have Skills and Experience:
6. Experience with projects to improve software efficiency and quality
7. C/C++ Build / Debugging (CMake, Ninja, Conan)
8. CI/CD –Jenkins (preferred), TeamCity, CircleCI, GitLab CI/CD
9. Ansible
10. AWS, VMware
11. Boto3, Terraform
12. Groovy scripting, DSL
13. Docker, Kubernetes or container services (ECS, EKS, AKS)
People:
14. Good communications skills, and ability to communicate appropriately with a diverse set of audiences at all levels of the organisation
15. Highly collaborative team player
16. Able to build great working relationships with stakeholders and developers outside of the team
