ENGINEERING MANAGER We are recruiting for an Engineering Manager to work for our well-established and successful manufacturing company located in Keighley, West Yorkshire. Main Purpose: To oversee and participate the day-to-day Engineering operation and performance on site and manage the team accordingly. Provide a reactive and pro-active, multi-skilled maintenance service on all operational infrastructure and support long-term strategic plans. Create a healthy and motivating work environment and atmosphere. Regularly monitor performance of the team and discover training needs and provide coaching. This role is a hands-on as well as administrative role. THE DUTIES : * Ensure that Health, Safety and Environmental requirements are adhered to. * Ensure all activities follow Food packaging BRC accreditation. * Demonstrate positive behaviours by actively supporting Lean and Continuous Improvement activity on site. * Manage the team performance issues and implement suitable training and development. * Support and develop with the Engineering manager the Planned Maintenance (PPM) schedule, ensuring full preventative maintenance is carried out effectively. * Support the site in implementing Total Preventative Maintenance (TPM) programme. * Ensure all job sheets and work records are correct and up to date. * Work as part of the engineering team in recommending, supporting, and implementing continuous improvement activities as well as process and procedures. * Ensure all instructions or actions are communicated correctly and effectively to the team. * Perform root cause analysis to resolve problems. * Alongside Manager, conduct risk assessments of processes and tasks in the department. ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCES & SKILLS: * Minimum 2 years' experience working with a manufacturing background and supervisory level * Excellent communication skills * Strong leadership skills * Knowledge of plastics would be an advantage but not essential THE HOURS: You will work Monday – Friday days 42 hours a week THE PAY: You will earn an annual salary of between £35k-60k depending on experience. * A contributory Pension Scheme (after 3 months) * Life Assurance and a Health Cash Plan Scheme after 6 months employment. * On-site parking * Free uniform and PPE
