Overview
Maintenance Assistant role at Ramsay Health Care UK – Cherwell Hospital, Banbury. 37.5 hours per week, full-time. You will assist with maintaining the ageing building and general maintenance around the site, working alongside the hospital engineer to maintain, repair and service hospital equipment and facilities to a high standard. Flexible days in accordance with the needs of the service.
Responsibilities
* Responding to departmental maintenance requests in all areas of the hospital in a timely manner
* Managing maintenance folder to log, plan and complete job requests in a timely manner
* Proactively identify areas and items in need of repair in a timely manner
* Basic plumbing tasks: repair baths, showers, sinks and toilets, fix minor leaks and unblock sinks, fix radiators
* Basic carpentry jobs including replacing door locks, hanging shelves and pictures
* Changing light bulbs and minor electrical work
* Basic decorating jobs: touching up paintwork, filling wall defects
* Moving of furniture and equipment
Required Skills & Experience
* General maintenance knowledge and experience
* Good understanding of Health and Safety procedures and best practice
* Good communication skills
* Confident team player
* Clean driving license
* Use of a car
