Salary: £30,000 - £42,000 per annum

We are recruiting on behalf of a specialist residential college in Yeovil that provides exceptional education and care for students aged 16 - 25. This role is ideal for an experienced, innovative and compassionate SEN Teacher looking to empower students to achieve their full potential.

What we’re looking for:




We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teacher who is:




* Passionate about teaching and committed to nurturing a love of learning
* Creative and practical, with the ability to design engaging and structured lessons
* Organised and adaptable, able to tailor teaching methods to meet diverse learning needs
* Experienced in managing complex behaviours, using innovative strategies to promote engagement
* A team player, ready to contribute to a multi-disciplinary approach to student success




Key responsibilities:




* Plan and deliver a high-quality, ambitious curriculum that supports students’ individual learning needs and Education, Health & Care Plan (EHCP) outcomes.
* Create engaging and differentiated lesson plans that promote independent living skills, personal resilience, and academic progress.
* Act as a personal tutor to a small group of students, fostering confidence, independence, and lifelong learning.
* Work closely with a skilled multi-disciplinary team, including therapists, care professionals, and educational specialists, to support students holistically.
* Support the college’s mission to continually improve and innovate within specialist education.

Candidates with experience in delivering or coordinating Post-16 PSHE are highly desirable, but we welcome applications from all qualified teachers with a passion for SEN education.
