Senior Quantity Surveyor £70000 - £80000/annum ME5, Walderslade, Kent Experienced Quantity Surveyor Major Cut & Carve / Commercial Fit Out Location: North Kent / Medway Central London Site (hybrid: office & site-based) Salary: £70,000 - £80,000 package (dependent on experience) An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a well-established and respected main contractor, renowned for delivering high-quality commercial fit out, refurbishment, and complex structural alteration projects across London and the South East. This role is for a major £60m cut and carve project in Central London, involving significant structural alterations and high-end commercial fit out. The position will be based between the companys North Kent / Medway office and the London project site. For candidates based closer to London, there is flexibility for the role to be predominantly site-based. Key Responsibilities: Commercial management of the £60m cut and carve scheme, overseeing all financial and contractual aspects of the project. Preparation and negotiation of subcontractor packages, variations, and final accounts. Accurate cost reporting, forecasting, and budget management throughout the project lifecycle. Working closely with the project and site teams to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery. Managing client relationships and attending key project meetings. Ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and company procedures. Requirements: Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor on large-scale cut and carve, structural alteration, and commercial fit out / refurbishment projects (ideally £30m). Strong knowledge of JCT contracts and contract administration. Excellent commercial acumen and negotiation skills. Ability to manage multiple work packages and maintain tight cost control. Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities. Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or similar (preferred).
