Overview
Are you passionate about creating a more sustainable built environment? We are looking for a Sustainability Consultant and BREEAM Accredited Assessor to join a growing team delivering sustainability and compliance services to the construction and development industry.
Based in Chester, this role offers the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects across multiple sectors while developing your expertise within a supportive and collaborative consultancy environment.
This position would suit someone who already holds BREEAM Assessor accreditation and is confident delivering assessments, while looking to further develop their career within a growing sustainability team.

Day-to-Day
Delivering BREEAM assessments from early design stages through to certification
Supporting project teams in achieving sustainability targets and BREEAM credits
Preparing technical reports and sustainability documentation
Working with clients, architects and engineers to coordinate evidence for assessments
Contributing to additional sustainability certification schemes where required
Keeping up to date with evolving sustainability standards and best practice
Responsibilities
Deliver BREEAM assessments as an Accredited Assessor
Coordinate the collection and review of evidence for certification
Provide sustainability advice to design teams during project development
Support projects across sectors including commercial, residential, education and healthcare
Assist with other sustainability frameworks such as HQM, Fitwel or SKA where relevant
Work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver high-quality sustainability outcomes
Qualifications
BREEAM Accredited Assessor status
Experience delivering or supporting BREEAM assessments
A degree or postgraduate qualification in a related discipline
Membership or interest in professional bodies such as IEMA, ISEP or CIBSE
Strong understanding of construction processes and sustainability principles
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Ability to manage workloads across multiple projects
Desirable:
Experience with other sustainability frameworks (HQM, SKA, Fitwel)
Knowledge of wider sustainability topics such as energy or carbon performance
