Graduate Quantity Surveyor 2026 - Environment
Location: Gretna / Portsmouth / Southampton
Our Graduate Development Programme offers hands‑on experience, technical skill development and professional qualification support.
Responsibilities
* Use the latest software tools to accurately report cost and value to the business unit.
* Interpret and critically evaluate expenditure reports produced by internal cost systems.
* Support procurement of subcontract partners, including bid enquiry documentation and bid evaluation.
* Produce subcontract documentation.
* Assist in issuing commercial notices to clients and subcontractors as required by contract and law.
* Assist in managing change, including preparing and submitting Compensation Event Quotations and maintaining detailed schedules of value.
* Provide information to the Commercial team to assist in monthly payment applications to the client.
* Liaise with operational and engineering staff to maintain site records.
* Collate and calculate information to support the Commercial team in producing a detailed cost‑to‑complete and subcontractor liabilities schedules.
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field expected by September 2026.
* Full UK driving licence (or to obtain one by 7 September 2026).
* Eligibility to live and work in the UK without restriction.
* Collaborative communication and problem‑solving skills.
* Self‑starter with ownership of tasks and flexibility to adapt to change.
* Curiosity and willingness to ask questions.
