You will be responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating Configuration activities to meet schedule, budget, quality, and performance targets while ensuring compliance with standards and processes. The role includes contributing to engineering strategy, leading Configuration initiatives, and supporting major programmes. This role requires eligibility for UK Security Clearance (SC). This generally means you must have lived in the UK for the past 5 years without significant breaks and be able to pass background checks conducted by government authorities. Responsibilities: Line management and development of Configuration Engineers. Resource, capability, and career management, including training and recruitment. Lead and deliver Configuration activities on complex projects. Ensure quality outputs through planning, reviews, and process compliance. Drive functional improvements, audits, and tool management. Build strong stakeholder relationships and promote Configuration capability. We are looking for: Degree or extensive experience in Configuration Management. Proven track record in defence, aerospace, or maritime environments. Knowledge of Configuration standards (e.g. Defence Standard 05-057). Experience leading teams and delivering Configuration projects. Hands-on expertise in Configuration Management planning, processes, and in-service support
