An exciting opportunity has arisen across the Bury Town, Haverhill and Newmarket Integrated Neighbourhood Teams for Band 4 Therapy Assistant Practitioners. With full time and part time hours available, dependent on base site, it's a rare opportunity to work as member of the community therapy services in West Suffolk.
With a spread of base sites ranging from market towns to picturesque villages you would be working as part of the INT therapy teams as part of a larger multidisciplinary team made up of nursing teams, matrons, physiotherapists, occupational therapy and colleagues across health and social care. The teams are a busy dynamic space who are keen to actively support staff new to community consolidate and develop into role. If your passionate about working with people in their own homes to work towards achieving the best outcomes then we\'re keen to hear from you.
Responsibilities
* Managing a designated caseload of patients.
* Providing specific skilled support to the registered therapists in providing technical therapy interventions to patients.
* Use of an evidence-based, person-centred approach in the planning, implementation, evaluation and monitoring of agreed interventions.
* Following guidelines and protocols to promote the functional fitness of patients and to aid discharge from hospital in a way that is consistent with their abilities, preferences, and cultural beliefs.
* To communicate complex and sensitive information effectively to patients using skills of persuasion, motivation, explanation, negotiation, and empathy.
