The role
As a Materials and Inventory Planner, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. This is a unique opportunity to influence enterprise-level decisions, work with cutting-edge technology, and build a career with purpose in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Day-to-day, you’ll manage material requirements and inventory planning for submarine projects, ensuring operational demands are met and risks are mitigated.
1. Planning and managing inventory requirements to meet operational demand
2. Attending zonal reviews with production and project teams to identify material risks
3. Interfacing with supply chain, quality, and logistics teams to expedite material requirements
4. Producing material exception reports and supporting risk mitigation activities
5. Providing analysis and insight to influence key decision-making at portfolio level
This role is full time, 35 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements.
Essential experience of the Materials and Inventory Planner
6. Experience using Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems
7. Knowledge of warehouse and logistics inventory planning and control techniques
8. Strong analytical, planning, and organisational skills
9. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
10. High proficiency in MS Excel for managing large datasets
