Job Description
We want to build great communities, not just great homes. You'll help us make it happen. Teign Housing is a successful social landlord employing over 100 ambitious, committed people, responsible for managing more than 4,000 homes across South Devon. We're passionate about providing the best possible homes, and as one of our Estates Maintenance Operatives, you'll help us make the places we live look even better.
About the Estates Maintenance Operative role
As an Estates Maintenance Operative, you'll cut grass, maintain hedges, and plant shrubs and flowers to create attractive landscapes. You will resolve enquiries from tenants and oversee Health & Safety compliance in everything you do, offering plenty of variety and responsibility.
About you
Experienced in all aspects of grounds maintenance, you will hold a clean current driving licence and be capable of using industrial machinery safely.
Needless to say, you should share our passion for customer service and be self-motivated, well-organised, and hardworking. You will bring excellent interpersonal skills. A formal Health & Safety qualification would be very useful, as would a trailer towing licence and some pesticide training, but these are by no means essential, as we will provide a comprehensive induction.
Benefits
We are an Investor in People Platinum organisation, so you will be joining a company that fosters a supportive high-performance culture. You can also expect to enjoy an excellent benefits package, including:
* Training opportunities
* 25 days leave plus bank holidays and discretionary leave between Christmas and New Year
* Pension scheme
* Free parking
* Employee Assistance Programme
* And much more
