Your new role
We are seeking an experienced and ambitious Associate GP Surveyor to lead our Carlisle office. The successful candidate will focus primarily on loan security valuations, with additional responsibilities in agency and property management. This is a key leadership role with the opportunity to develop and grow a team of surveyors, shaping the future of our presence in the region.
Key Responsibilities
1. Undertake Red Book valuations for secured lending purposes across a range ofmercial properties.
2. Provide professional advice to banks, financial institutions, and private clients.
3. Support and grow the agency function, including sales, lettings, and acquisitions.
4. Oversee property management instructions, liaising with landlords and tenants.
5. Act as Office Manager, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and maintaining high professional standards.
6. Mentor and support junior surveyors, with a view to building a strong local team.
7. Contribute to business development and client relationship management in the region.
What you'll need to succeed
8. MRICS qualified with a minimum of 3–5 years post-qualification experience.
9. Proven experience in loan security valuations and general practice surveying.
10. Strong knowledge of the Carlisle and wider Cumbria property market.
11. Excellentmunication, leadership, and client-facing skills.
12. Ambition to grow a team and take on a strategic leadership role.
13. Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
