About Your New Job
* Ensure high levels of Health, Safety, and Environmental practice: As a Plant Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and operating the plant following policy and procedure.
* First Line Maintenance and Repairs: Carry out repairs and maintenance on process equipment including pumps, shredders, macerators, mechanical sorting equipment, and gas handling equipment.
* Fault Finding, Diagnosis, and Reporting: Perform mechanical, electrical, and C&I fault finding on a variety of process equipment using a mixture of conventional techniques, SCADA analysis, PLC fault finding, and PID diagrams.
* Other Responsibilities: Assist the maintenance manager with stock management and procurement, manage contractors, and contribute to the delivery of on-site capital projects.
What Skills You Need
* Qualifications: UK driving license, GCSE level including Math’s and English, Engineering qualification, Apprenticeship or equivalent.
* Experience: Time served Technician with a heavy industrial background, experience of mechanical and fluid handling equipment and processes.
* Qualities and Attitude: Honest, approachable, can-do, flexible, consistent, a self-starter able to communicate effectively with 3rd party sub-contractors, operators, and management. Attention to detail and accuracy.
