Fantastic Opportunity for a Pensions Administrator based in Redhill
Job Description
* To provide a complete administration service including all regular aspects of pensions administrative work
* Responding to pension enquiries such as processing retirements, transfers out and time critical events such as responding to the death of a member
* To quickly escalate to the Pensions Manager any significant problems or concerns, particularly those that have a financial implication
* Preparation of the Scheme financial statements
* Submission of the annual Scheme Return
* Completing the Pensions Dashboard Project
* To take responsibility for the quality and accuracy of your own work and that of your colleagues
* Ensuring the input of accurate data and maintenance of that data
* Encouraging adoption of a consistency of approach to high quality data management
* Diligence in querying any data inputting where there is any concern as to its accuracy
The Successful Applicant
* Experience in a pensions administration role
* Excellent technical and operational knowledge of UK contracted-out defined benefit pension schemes, also experience in defined contribution schemes is desirable
* Good knowledge of UK pension legislation
* Experience of working with pension administration systems
* Track record of performing and checking member benefit calculations including ability to apply complex history of legacy arrangements
* Essential - Excel, Word, Outlook
* Used to meeting deadlines in a busy working environment
* Self-starter but an effective collegiate team member
* Strong customer focus skills in dealing with members and third parties on the phone and in writing
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* May be working towards an accountancy degree
