Job Title: Project Manager - Capital Programmes

Contract Type: Permanent

Work Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm

Worker Type: Hybrid

Salary: Grade I – £46,142 (Level 1) to £49,282 (Level 4)

Location: Harvey Road (NG8 3BB) with travel to Loxley House and sites.


About the Role

We’re seeking a proactive and inclusive Project Manager to join our Asset team at Nottingham City Council Housing Services. In this role, you will support the Head of Service to deliver high‑quality repairs, maintenance, voids and improvement works across council homes, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time and within budget.

The role primarily focuses on delivering projects within the Decent Neighbourhood Programme, driving improvements that enhance homes and the wider community environment.

You will manage a range of housing projects, represent the client at site meetings, ensure compliance with CDM, health and safety and industry best practice, lead a multidisciplinary team (Site Managers, Project Liaison Officers, Technical Officers), coordinate resources, oversee performance, promote a safe & inclusive culture, lead post‑project reviews, and maintain robust risk management.


Responsibilities

* Deliver projects on time, within budget and compliant with regulations
* Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and resource allocation
* Maintain and update project plans and governance documentation
* Analyse financial information and monitor budget expenditure
* Lead post‑project reviews and continuous improvement initiatives
* Ensure a safe and inclusive working culture at all sites


Qualifications

* Sound knowledge and practiced experience of project management techniques, ideally with major capital and regeneration project delivery
* Experience preparing and maintaining up‑to‑date project plans aligned to NCCHS policies and procedures
* Ability to analyse and interpret financial information and monitor and control budget expenditure
* Skills to implement continuous improvement and keep a full audit trail of communication
* Strong presentation and communication skills to convey complex issues to various stakeholders
* Driving licence and access to a vehicle
