Overview
We’re currently recruiting Employment Specialists who will be at the heart of our delivery approach. You’ll welcome customers joining our programme, conduct initial appointments, engage people with a learning disability from diverse backgrounds, empower and encourage them to gain meaningful, sustainable employment, and help them overcome barriers to improve their health and confidence.

Our service addresses significant and complex barriers to gaining employment with tailored support to enable individuals to achieve and sustain work. Location: Central London | Hours: 37 hours per week. Monday to Thursday 8.30 am – 5.00 pm, Friday 8.30 am – 4.30 pm. Closing Date: 15 October 2025.

Key Responsibilities
* Progressively manage a caseload of referred customers with a learning disability
* Provide specialist support with learning disability awareness and self-development/knowledge
* Undertake in-depth assessments using tools to understand a customer’s circumstances
* Co-produce personalised, tailored Action Plans with SMART targets to enable positive progression
* Use an integration framework of local specialist services to obtain support for specific issues
* Utilise social prescribing to develop and improve customer circumstances
* Work with multiple agencies to develop holistic approaches to support customers
* Identify employer recruitment needs and undertake tailored pre-screens and group assessments
* Co-produce effective in-work support plans with participants and employers
* Be mindful of Health & Safety in the customer’s workplace and promote a safe environment
* Develop understanding of local specialist signposting services
* Work from local hubs and community outreach locations to increase service accessibility
Skills and Experience
* Essential
* A good working knowledge of the local labour market
* Experience of working with people with multiple and complex needs, especially those with learning disabilities
* Fully IT literate with Microsoft Office
* Desirable
* Knowledge of SEQF standards
* Level 3 Award in Employability Services Sector or equivalent
* Experience of providing information, advice & guidance
* Full driving licence
