Expected hours 29 hours minimum spread over 5days, Monday to Friday

Main duties of the job
To ensure the steady running of the office on a day-to-daybasis and manage the team of administration and reception staff.
The successful applicant will work within our team to deliver an excellent service to our patients. Good communication and organisational skills are essential. Candidates must be flexible, reliable, have the ability to multi-task and work efficiently within a busy and pressurised environment.

We currently have three full-time Partners, assisted bythree employed GP's, two Pharmacists, one Advanced Nurse Practitioner, twoPractice Nurses and one Healthcare Assistant.

Job responsibilities
* Managing work-flow, ensuring efficiency withinReception & Admin teams
* Suggesting improvements to improve flow
* Organising induction programmes for newemployees, training new staff and supervising staff to ensure uniformity inoutcome
* Spot checking calls to ensure quality control
* Coaching staff on telephone answering technique
* Troubleshooting and spotting deficiencies,supervising and monitoring the work of the reception and admin teams to ensurethey are competent
* Ensuring mandatory training of all staff is keptup to date
* Improve signposting of patients to the correctservice or clinician
* Reception & admin rota management
* Keeping reception policies and guidelines up todate
* Organising induction programmes for newemployees
* Basic training in use of clinical system
* Managing health & safety as well as fireregulations within the office
* Monitoring of training material and keepingmaterial and staff training records up to date
* Ensure the telephonesystem is up to date including half day closures and bank holidays
* Approve annual leave for all staff
* Record staff absences and organise appropriatecover, if required
Person Specification
Qualifications
* Good standard of general education
* GCSE Mathematics C or above
* GCSE English C or above
Experience
* Ability to perform under pressure
* Excellent customer care skills
* Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and adherence to GDPR
* Ability to prioritise
* Reliable and able to exercise discretion
* Can use own initiative
* Some working knowledge of staff motivation techniques
