Job Description
We are looking for a Branch/Yard Assistant to join us at our Longtown site. If you’re someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in delivering great customer service, and thrives as part of a friendly, supportive team, this could be a fantastic opportunity for you! No two days are the same, and you’ll play a key role in helping our branch run smoothly.
Your job
This role involves:
1. Providing customers with product and service information
2. Pick customer orders accurately
3. Assist with loading and unloading of vehicles using a forklift truck
4. Process orders accurately, within a time dictated by the customer deadline
5. Serve customers on the trade counter when required
6. Customer interaction
7. Delivery of goods using the company pick up when required
Qualifications
Job Requirements
Required:
8. Excellent communication skills and some customer service skills
9. Literacy & Numeracy
10. A hardworking & helpful individual to train in all aspects of our operation
11. An understanding of Health & Safety in a work environment
12. Forklift truck licence
13. Full UK driving licence
Desirable:
14. Warehouse experience
15. Basic knowledge of computers
