Core subject (Maths, English, or Science) SEN / SEND Tutors for Young People with SEND, SEMH, and other Additional Educational Needs required in Shropshire. Multiple positions are available and hiring is ongoing to meet the wide variety of needs we support. We are on a mission to transform the quality of education provided to young people with SEN (Special Education Needs) / SEND (Special Education Needs and Disabilities), as well as other needs such as SEMH needs (Social, Emotional and Mental Health). We are increasingly supporting children and young people with MLD (Moderate Learning Difficulties) and SLD (Severe Learning Difficulties). We are looking for SEN / SEND tutors with a genuine passion for transforming the lives of disengaged, at-risk, and vulnerable learners in Shropshire. Targeted Provision’s mission is to raise the standard of educational support offered to vulnerable young people in the UK, with support from SEN / SEND Support Specialists.
This role is ideal for qualified SEN / SEND teachers who prefer 1:1 tutoring with children and young people with a variety of learning needs, in a creative, flexible, holistic, and trauma-informed manner to engage learners and improve their educational journey.

The SEN / SEND Tutor role
* Provide Maths, English, or Science tuition to young people with SEND, SEMH, MLD/SLD, or other Additional Educational Needs
* Young people are referred by local authorities and schools and require support in their educational and social-emotional journey
* Deliver flexible and holistic trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring
SEN / SEND Tutor tasks and responsibilities
* Plan each session of teaching / tutoring / mentoring
* Deliver holistic and engaging sessions that meet needs and advance educational and social-emotional journey
* Complete lesson reports and provide feedback on progress
SEN / SEND Tutor requirements
* Professional Teaching Qualifications (Qualified Teacher Status / QTS / QTLS)
* Minimum 2 years teaching experience
* Experience with SEND, SEMH, MLD/SLD, and other Additional Educational Needs
* Experience and understanding of safeguarding processes
* Enhanced DBS (assistance with cost if needed)
* Two professional references
* UK residence and right to work in the UK (remote/online included)
It is a strict requirement that you promote the health, safety and wellbeing of children and young people and follow safeguarding policies and procedures at all times.
SEN / SEND Tutor employment status
* Engagement as a Worker for short-term assignments
* Contract for service and paid via PAYE
* No fixed amount of work or expenses coverage
* Our insurance covers the work you do for us
* Not a self-employed position
