This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a dynamic, innovative firm that values client care, professional development, and operational efficiency.The Role:Support and Drive Family Law SuccessAs a Family Legal Assistant, you will play a key role in providing administrative and client support to the Family Department. Your primary responsibility will be to assist with the timely progression of family cases, ensuring that client care remains at the heart of everything we do. You will work closely with the Family Team to achieve individual and team targets while ensuring compliance with internal processes and service level agreements.Key Responsibilities:
* Client Communication: Communicate with clients over the telephone, via email, and in person, ensuring the highest level of service at all times.
* Support Fee Earners: Assist fee earners in progressing matters and keeping clients informed according to the terms of business.
* Documentation: Request, manage, and ensure the return of documentation fundamental to family law matters, chasing when necessary.
* Case Management: Accurately log correspondence and data into the case management system, and manage tasks efficiently to ensure progress.
* Trial Bundles: Assist in the preparation and organisation of trial bundles.
* General Administration: Perform day-to-day administrative duties, including answering telephones and managing general enquiries.
* Invoicing & Payments: Liaise with accounting staff for invoicing queries, recording payments, and ensuring timely processing.
* Compliance: Ensure compliance with all internal policies, processes, and regulatory requirements.
* Team Collaboration: Regularly attend team meetings and contribute to the success of the department.
What We're Looking For:To thrive in this role, you'll bring:
* Experience: Previous experience working in a legal or professional environment, ideally within family law.
* Organisational Skills: A structured approach with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
* Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
* Technical Proficiency: Competency in using case management systems (Proclaim or similar) and Microsoft Office.
* Client-Focused: A proactive and client-centric approach to every aspect of your work.
* Attention to Detail: The ability to manage detailed information and keep accurate records.
* Team Player: A collaborative approach to work, ensuring effective communication within the team and across departments.
