Estimator/ Quantity Surveyor
Salary: £40,000 - £60,000 (dependent on experience)

The Role
We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor / Estimator to join our growing commercial team. The role will involve pricing, cost control, and commercial management across a diverse range of civil engineering and specialist construction projects.
This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially astute professional looking to work on technically interesting projects within a well-established and respected organisation.
Key Responsibilities
·Prepare accurate cost estimates and tenders for civil engineering and specialist construction projects
·Carry out quantity take-offs and bill of quantities preparation
·Evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations
·Assist with commercial management of live projects, including valuations, cost reporting, and final accounts
·Support contract administration and change control processes
·Work closely with project managers, engineers, and technical teams across multiple divisions
·Identify cost risks and value engineering opportunities
·Ensure compliance with contractual and company procedures
Requirements
·Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor and/or Estimator within civil engineering or construction
·Strong understanding of cost planning, tendering, and commercial management
·Experience working with NEC and/or JCT contracts (desirable)
·Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
·Excellent numerical, analytical, and negotiation skills
·Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach
·Proficient in estimating and commercial software (desirable)
·Full UK driving licence (preferred due to nationwide projects)
