Rate of pay £14.60 per hour. Kind, considerate, organised and caring young adult looking for a fun Personal Assistant/Befriender near Linlithgow to support with daily activities inside and outside the home. Activities could include shopping, baking, taking public transport, swimming, running, and going to the cinema. The young adult can become anxious when things change suddenly so the postholder must be calm, patient and empathetic. It is essential that the postholder be a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme or willing to join. It is also essential that the postholder be a non-smoker, dog friendly and have experience/understanding of epilepsy care and first aid. Experience in care is helpful but not essential but due to rural location, the postholder must have access to their own transport and a full driving license valid in the UK. The post will usually be one six-hour shift per week on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday. Occasionally there may be two shifts lasting three hours each. Some flexibility required.
