Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to patients in care homes and home care settings, ensuring their comfort and well-being. This role involves assisting with daily activities, implementing care plans, and fostering a positive environment for individuals in need of care.
Responsibilities
* Assist patients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility.
* Support the implementation of individual care plans tailored to each patient's needs.
* Monitor and report any changes in patients' health or behaviour to the healthcare team.
* Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients, adhering to health and safety regulations.
* Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the quality of life for patients.
* Document patient progress and activities accurately in accordance with organisational policies.
* Collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care delivery.
Skills
* Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and colleagues.
* Experience in a care home or home care setting is highly desirable.
* Ability to drive is an advantage for providing transport to patients as required.
* Familiarity with creating and implementing care plans tailored to individual needs.
* Competent IT skills for maintaining accurate records and documentation.
