An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced teaching assistant to support a full-time teacher as part of our online provision in a collaboration between Llanwern High School, Lliswerry High School, and Newport High School.
These schools recognize the challenges some pupils face with school-related anxieties and phobias that hinder attendance. This role aims to provide equal learning experiences for all pupils, including those unable to attend physically, through innovative online support.
We seek an innovative and creative individual who embraces technology to support some of the most vulnerable pupils in our communities across Newport.
The successful candidate will:
1. Collaborate effectively with the class teacher to ensure effective delivery of teaching, learning, and wellbeing.
2. Support, inspire, and motivate pupils.
3. Support the class teacher in using technology innovatively.
4. Assist in online lessons.
5. Help monitor and assess pupils' progress across various year groups.
6. Support pupil attainment in core subjects and wider experiences.
7. Assist in improving attendance.
8. Commit to safeguarding and the wellbeing of pupils.
9. Foster positive relationships with parents and carers, both online and face-to-face.
10. Support pupils in returning to a mainstream setting.
