Position: Esports Head Coach

Manchester University is seeking a dynamicEsports Head Coach to work with the Director of Esports and the existing Esports Head Coach to lead and inspire students through our growing Esports program. This role offers the unique opportunity to coach collegiate-level Esports, engage students in meaningful ways, and build a program that fosters academic and personal success.
What You’ll Do
* Coach and manage 2-3 varsity and junior varsity Esports teams (including Overwatch, Valorant, Super Smash Bros, League of Legends, and Rocket League)
* Organize tryouts, practices, schedules, and travel to competitions
* Monitor academic eligibility and support student-athletes' academic growth
* Recruit and retain top-tier student talent aligned with MU's values
* Stream and produce matches, support media content creation, and assign casters
* Foster a positive, inclusive team culture and serve as an active member of the Student Life Division
What You’ll Need
* Bachelor's Degree required
* 2+ years of experience in collegiate Esports coaching or playing
* Expert-level knowledge in at least one core game title; working knowledge of others
* Valid driver’s license required
* Commitment to mentoring students in both gaming and life
* Tech-savvy with skills in streaming, social media, and game-related platforms
* Willingness to work flexible hours and relocate within driving distance to North Manchester, IN
Work Schedule:This is a full-time, exempt position. This is a twelve (12) month position. Travel is required and includes flexible work hours, especially in-season. M-F 1pm-10pm with an hour break for dinner default schedule. Some weekends are required for travel, competitions, or special events.
