Applications Support Engineer – Hybrid Working – Manchester.
£40k to 48k plus 30% (paid at 97% last year) – 10% non contrib pension and a range of other benefits.
Applications support engineer required to work for the is critical infrastructure client based in the North West of England.
As the Applications support engineer you will offer BAU support on tickets at a 3rd line level and combine this with project based work.
The manager of this team is looking for someone who enjoys working both as part of a team and autonomously and operates with a high degree of trust and allows you to get on with your role in what is an experienced applications support team.
The key accountabilities for this application support role will include:
* Provide 3rd line application support, managing incidents and escalations through to resolution
* Provide proactive support & maintenance across the application landscape
* Support internal projects with technical design reviews and environment builds/deployment
Ideally you will have as much of the following as possible:
* Experience managing Windows Server, IIS & Active Directory Services
* Knowledge of T-SQL (MS SQL) and/or PL/SQL
* Knowledge of minor programming or scripting (.NET / PowerShell)
* Experience using an IT Service Management Tool (e.g. SCSM, Service Now)
* Ability to engage and communicate effectively with the business and customer
* Experienced in an application support role
The following experience would be a bonus but is absolutely not essential to the role, there will be the opportunity to add or develop these skills and platforms:
* Microsoft Dynamics (2012AX or 365) & Office365 administration.
* Software deployment processes/systems
* Salesforce / API (mulesoft)
