Keeler Recruitment is working in partnership on the appointment of a Group Managing Director for a privately owned, Norfolk-based manufacturing business.
The company has been successfully built by its founder and is now entering its next phase of growth. As part of this evolution, the founder is looking to take a step back from the day-to-day running of the business and appoint a Group Managing Director to lead the organisation forward.
The Opportunity
Reporting to the Board, the Group Managing Director will take full responsibility for the leadership, performance and strategic direction of the business.
This role requires a commercially focused and financially driven leader, capable of balancing operational delivery with strong financial control. You will play a critical role in shaping the future of the business, ensuring it scales in a controlled, profitable and sustainable way.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the overall performance of the business within a manufacturing environment
* Take full ownership of financial management, including budgeting, forecasting and cash flow
* Strengthen financial controls, reporting and performance visibility across the business
* Deliver strategic plans aligned with shareholder objectives
* Drive operational efficiency and continuous improvement within manufacturing
* Lead and develop the senior leadership team
* Identify and deliver growth opportunities
* Ensure strong governance and effective decision-making across the organisation
Candidate Profile
A strong financial background is essential for this appointment.
We are particularly interested in individuals currently operating at Finance Director or CFO level, or those who have moved into a broader leadership role having built their career within finance.
You will bring:
* Proven experience within a manufacturing or FMCG environment
* A track record of driving business performance through financial insight and control
* Strong commercial awareness combined with excellent analytical capability
* Experience supporting or leading business growth and transition
* A hands-on, credible leadership style with the ability to operate at both strategic and operational levels
* Professional qualifications such as ACA, CIMA or similar preferred
Package and Location
* £110,000 – £130,000 depending on experience
* Bonus and benefits package including car allowance, pension and private healthcare
* Based in Norfolk with an on-site presence required
* Candidates should live within a commutable distance of Norfolk
